Sponge rubber extruded profiles
Our sponge rubber profiles can be either extruded or made from sheets.
Sponge rubber extruded profiles are suitable for a wide variety of applications; besides round and rectangular sections, there are hundreds of different sections.
Mainly realized in EPDM rubber, they have a micro-cell structure with uniform non-communicating cavities (closed cells); this structure prevents water absorption and makes them suitable in all applications where water and air tightness is required.
To ensure proper air and water tightness, it is recommended to subject the profiles to a deformation between 20 and 50 percent of their thickness.
They can also be realized in other compounds – CR, NBR – for specific requirements.
Foam rubber profiles cut from sheets, can be realized with different types of material (EPDM, CR, polyurethane foam), with closed or open cells and different densities depending on the application.
With cutting from sheets, a wide variety of geometries can be realized by die cutting, water cutting or CNC cutting.
Both extruded and foam rubber profiles can be supplied adhesive-coated and cut to size. Would you like more information about these products?
